Zeikos ZE-TR201P 77-Inch Full Size TripodDec 08, 2009
By B. Leszczynski Tripod head is all metal, no plastic parts to break or strip so camera weight is not an issue. Joints and machine screws came factory lubricated and hold true in any position. Head is removable and quick release mount is spring loaded and locks solid (also metal). Legs lock in place with plastic compression clamps that are quite sturdy. Elevator gear moves flawless after a few squirts of DW 40 or Silicone. No spikes on feet. Weight hook is plastic, flimsy and worthless. All in all having a metal head with your tripod is worth the price. Most tripods are junk but they made this one right! You should buy it. Comes with a great bag.

WOW 4 the PriceAug 08, 2009

I looked at several mid to low priced tripods before buying this one. I got it to go with my Canon Rebel 500d because of it's weight. It sets up easy and feels very sturdy. I would suggest that anyone doing gallery shots where 77 inches of height makes a difference, this is the tripod for you.

Nice heavy duty tripod, but no customer service to back itNov 19, 2009
By Astro Nut This tripod is a really decent heavy duty tripod, and should be able to handle an SLR camera with a heavy 400+mm lense. BUT, mine arrived damaged. I contacted Zeikos about a simple replacement part, and was told they could not supply the part over the phone (???) and to send them an email with the request. I sent 2 emails with no replies. Received a refund from the seller. Make sure you're dealing with a decent seller before taking a chance with this tripod.

Great for the price but not flawlessSep 21, 2010
By Digital Surf Guy This tripod is an amazing deal for the price - at $69 dollars - I am very pleased with the product. It is very well built, but not flawless. Zeikos definitely cut some corners for affordability, in particular I'm concerned about the support beams on the legs - they are cheaply made and don't look like they will hold up for very long on a tripod of this size (this is the part that broke on my last tripod, it has similar construction of the beams). There are some plastic parts which again raise some concern, but outside of that, the overall construction and durability are impressive. The head can be a little jerky at times, but if you use both handles when panning, the movement is pretty fluid and adjusts easily and smoothly. I also like that you have two bubble levels for the head and legs. This tripod is also a monster in size, at 77" extended you can get a nice tall perspective. The case is nice and the tripod is a handsome piece of equipment. It gets a solid 4 out of 5 stars, I am very happy with this tripod overall, a good deal for the money.

A sturdy tripodApr 22, 2011
By John E. Mahoney I use this for video. The pan/tilt head is not fluid for video. I replaced it with a Manfrotto head and am very satisfied with the combination.
