great quality, great price, lightweightSep 25, 2008

we've taken this backpacking and it is lightweight while also being sturdy. Highly recommended for the price. I use a medium sized camera w/telephoto on it and it seems to work fine. I don't know how it would work with a full size SLR / lens. I really love this tripod!

Excellent ValueNov 26, 2008
By Kenneth R. Depree Iam very pleased with this tripod. Great value for the price. Sturdy but light weight, and it has two levels to help be sure camera is level. The carrying case with strap is a plus.

Save your money for something sturdierApr 19, 2010
By sonjasays Save your money for something sturdier. This is pretty flimsy. After just a few months of occasional use, one of the legs wouldn't stay in place when I extended it. It kept sliding back up. I purchased another tripod for not much more money (about $40) and it's much, much more sturdy and reliable and came with a MUCH nicer carrying bag: Dolica AX620B100 62-Inch Proline Tripod and Ball Head.
I was also never able to get the head to pan smoothly, which I wanted to use with my video camera.
Aluminum Digital Tripod for NikonJan 17, 2012
By MJBrut I purchased this product as a gift for my husband whose old tripod did not work with his Nikon. The product is exactly as advertised. It works perfectly with his camera. It is sturdy and comes with a handy little carrying case. No complaints what-so-ever with this product.
