God bless China and all her wonderful cheaply-crafted electronics that sell for a tiny fraction of their brand-name counterparts. I am the sometimes proud owner of several Sony digital cameras. Due to my penchant for purchasing Sony electronics for the past several years, I've had to purchase pricey accessories when i lose my battery charger and/or battery. I went to circuit city to look for a similar product, and they were attempting to charge me [...] for a Sony brand G-battery charger and [...] for a replacement battery. I bought this charger instead and i saved [...]. It works just as well with my G-battery as my last sony charger, at a fraction of the cost (over 80% savings). It's marvelous that a country like China is still committed to cheaply made products that work just as well as the cheaply made products from other countries but sell for way cheaper.

I would be extremely careful of this product if I were you. I ordered from SF Planet and while the shipping was very quick and the product looks exactly like the one pictured, and the little light lights up, it doesn't actually charge my camera battery. I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-W55, the G-series lithium ion battery, and the model name is listed as one of the compatible ones, but it doesn't work. I'm ordering off ebay, be careful of this product.

I lost my original battery pack charger. This one works just as well. I'm going to get another one to travel with. They're so small and compact that it makes it easy to bring from place to place. It's just as fast at giving my camera a full charge as the original charger AND it comes with a car charger!

The product that I purchased from BargainCell failed to work. It made a rattling sound like something was broken inside. When I plugged it in, the green charge light comes on, but it never switched colors to red when a battery is placed in, and the battery never charges. About two years ago, I had purchased what Amazon listed as the same charger from BargainCell and it worked fine, but it was lost or stolen on a recent trip. However, the product I got this time from BargainCell was not identical and was made by GT Max in China. Since this is a generic charger type, they appear to have changed providers. The current model also doesn't seem as well designed for holding the battery in place. If you order from a different company, you may get a different product, so keep that in mind.
I ordered a different charger from another company, and it charged my battery successfully, so the problem was not my battery.
