4Great Solution for Road TripsMar 11, 2009
By BionicPelvis
I bought this charger to replace my OEM Olympus charger because this Olympus is a outlet plug-in type only. This charger works great and has a folding standard US-style plug, a European adapter, and a cigarette lighter adapter. It charges my battery in just a few hours.

Now the down side (and it's only a little one): This charger is designed to charge several different styles of battery, so it's about 50% larger than the Olympus charger. That's great if you have more than one of those battery styles and can eliminate multiple chargers. But if space is at a premium, like on backpacking or motorcycle trips, be aware that you won't be saving any space with this charger. I find the sacrifice of a little space is worth it since I can charge my battery on my motorcycle, and do it in about 1/2 the time of the Olympus.

5Exactly as advertisedApr 08, 2009

The camera I use this charger with is my Olympus Stylus Tough 8000, which has an internal charger. I bought this external charger to charge the supplemental batteries I bought for longer excursions.

The charger works with both name brand and generic batteries and gives any type a full charge in a reasonable time frame. All of the adapters worked great, though I admit I have not used the two prong converter yet. The sleek design with fold-in prongs makes it easy to travel with and hassle free.

5Maximal Power FC600 Battery Charger For Olympus Stylus Tough 8000Jan 31, 2010
By T. Truong
The battery charger works great, It charges pretty quick. I like the convenience of folding the prongs back to its housing for storage. There is the LED turns GREEN when finishes charging. If your item DOA, just go to Amazon submit your product as a "defective", within few minutes you will print the shipping return and Amazon processes a replacement to you within 3 business days the most. Returning a defective product to them and get a new one is a breeze.

5Versatile packageMar 19, 2010
By R. Sellers
It's nice to have a charger that works on AC & DC. Being able to charge my camera batteries on the road & cruising new destinations in my sailboat is an absolute necessity. It's not Rocket Science, but Olympus really dropped the ball with the AC (115v) only charger, especially since it's an advertised rugged sports camera. I was excited when I found this aftermarket combo. Fit's my needs perfectly.

2Works as advertised - poorly constructedNov 18, 2009

This charger works as advertised but is very poorly constructed. After my first time using the charger, I attempted to remove the unit from the wall. As I pulled on the silver painted outer half of the device it came free from the back half. I am now going to try soldering the thing back together.....I guess you get what you pay for.
