Giving this 1 star as zero stars does not seem to be an option. Previous reviewer mentions cheap construction and battery not really fitting into charger . . . I could forgive this, if it actually charged batteries. It does not. Camera says battery dead and shuts down, put it in charger and charger says fully charged.
I place a fairly high priority on anything sold as a battery charger actually being able to charge a battery. They should call this the 'Maximal Power FC 600 POS!'

This travel charger is a piece of crap. There's no way to secure the battery into the charger, and despite the warning on the back ("do not open") you can't help but open it, because the case doesn't stay together. It looks like it's been broken, or maybe it was a return sale.

This is the ONE time that I must provide a NEGATIVE review for a product provided from Amazon. While the title and description is what I needed(LI-40B/42B Rapid Travel Charger), the product is apparently mis labeled in that it isn't the charger for the two LI-40B/42B Li-Ion 1000mAh Olympus batteries which I also ordered for my Olympus Stylus 720 SW camera. The batteries supplied are correct but the charger configuration is for some other physical size battery. I didn't bother returning the charger; its now in the drawer with my old unused cellphone chargers.
Don't buy this FC600 OLY LI-40B/42B Rapid Travel Charger if it's your intend to charge the Olympus LI-40B/42B Li-Ion 1000mAh battery packs.
On a positive note, it arrived promptly.

do not purchase - wrong voltage/specs -- destroyed my batteryFeb 09, 2010

Unlike other reviewers, my battery fit into the charger, but the charger is rated at a too-high voltage for the battery it is advertised for. This charger basically destroyed the battery. During the end of about its third charge, I heard a hissing coming from my battery while it was in the charger. I immediately stopped the charge and tested the battery, only to find it had zero charge in it.
After inspecting the unit more closely, I found that the charger is NOT in fact actually rated for the Olympus battery is purports to be for.
Do not buy. It will destroy your battery.
Further, the indicator lights are useless: they both light up at the same time.
Very poor product. Avoid.
