 Has no temperature monitor terminalMay 13, 2010

There is a reason that Li-ion batteries, and their chargers
have 3 terminals. This one does not, so it cannot monitor
the temperature of the battery while charging. The result
will be loss of battery life in the best case, fire in the
worst case.

The first unit I received literally broke in half when I took it out of the package. The second unit was intact, but made a terrible high pitched buzzing noise when I plugged it in and did not charge the battery. I am on the third unit now, which also makes a buzzing noise but actually charges the battery like it is supposed to. I suppose I will keep it despite the buzzing because I am tired of spending time on the phone arranging returns and running to the post office. I would not buy this product again.

I needed a way to charge backup batteries for my Aiptek Action HD GVS camcorder, which uses the Fuji NP60 format. This unit is ideal because it comes with a 12VDC lighter plug adapter as well as the on-board 120VAC plug; it works well from either source. Reasonably priced too. Docked one star because I don't care for the analog red-to-green LED transition indicating "charge done."

Nice charger..Charges far better than my cams internal charger..
Charge seems to completely fill the battery giving my cam/corder more battery life...Nice

The initial unit was defective, but it was immediately replaced by Amazon. The new unit works as expected and charges our batteries much more quickly than our previous charger.
