Purchased for a JVC GY700 camera. The plates from my previous JVC cameras, D-5000 do not work with this one. The older ones are much sturdier than this one. Just a slight cosmetic change from previous model has forced me to purchase a new one. Plates really should come with the camera when they change design. Like I said, necessary evil, you really don't have any other choice as far as I know. Handle with care, seems a bit fragile.
