The product sold as a replacement for the Nikon EN-EL9 does not work in the Nikon D60, that has the same battery designation. The car charger works as does the one provided for house voltage. The car charger does not old the battery very well and the battery can fall out easily. The price was right so I'm keeping the unit for the car charger.

This charger is excellent. It is very small and fits in my camera bag. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it came with a car adapter.

I thought this was a good deal, but soon found out it was too good to be true! The plastic piece that holds the battery in place snapped off when I was taking it out of the packaging! I didn't even get to use it before it broke! Now I have to jimmy a thick piece of paper in between the battery and the charger just to get the charging light to turn on.

OK, this isn't the highest quality charger you can buy, but for less than $20, it's an incredible buy. I purchased this product on Amazon's iPhone-formatted site. Due to the limitations of the site, I thought I was buying only the charger with the the wall and car cords. I was surprised when I opened the package and found a battery, too! Excellent!
If you're looking for an inexpensive charging kit for your D40 and you're not too much of a purist, you'll enjoy the incredible value of this kit. If you're a bit of an elitist, maybe you should have purchased the D200?*
* Yes, I know it says it works with the D40x, too, but I'm talking about us lower-end D40 owners, who love a great product at a discount price.

This is not worth the money, it did not work for very long and never fully charge our batteries; even though ours was listed as a battery that was supported by this charger.
